Site contains in situ foundations and some walls cut into hillsdie. Potential for additional features and deposits relating to the mill and activities that took place, reflecting a discrete period during the mid 19th century.
Coulstock Flour Mill. Built 1839 and pulled down 1862 - parts were taken for a mill in Preston. The foundations have not been seen but the location was verified by local amateur historians and old photograph. Bluestone paved track down to site has been located. The mill was two or three storeys high and constructed of bluestone. The site is now covered with blackberries.
Heritage Inventory Significance: High. One of the earliest flour mills in Victoria. (1840s-1862)
