Statement of Significance
The War Memorial Gates, 46-72 Grampians Road, Halls Gap, have historical and social significance at a LOCAL level. They are associated and commemorate those who fought and died in the First and Second World Wars. Constructed in c.1948, the gates are recognised and valued by the Halls Gap community for commemorative and cultural reasons.

War Memorial Gates, 46-72 Grampians Road, HALLS GAP - Physical Description 1
The War Memorial Gates, 46-72 Grampians Road, Halls Gap, consist of four cream brick piers, the two central piers being taller and having a wider space between them. Between the taller pier are decorative steel vehicular gates with a geometrical rising sun in the centre. The flanking steel pedestrian gates feature the dates 1914 and 1918, and 1939 and 1945 in their upper and lower reaches respectively.
