FORMER SHAMROCK HOTEL - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The hotel was well established by 1865. It was the most extensive commercial residence (largest area, most outbuildings) at this time. It was a prominent stopping point for many years. 1877 photograph shows entire layout.
FORMER SHAMROCK HOTEL - Interpretation of Site
One of the earliest (and largest) hotels in Healesville. 1865 plan indicates that hotel also possessed other out buildings and garden.
