Heritage Inventory History of Site:
Little Horn Company, Piggoreet, New Chum Lead in Clarke's paddock
1881: picked up this lead in Clarke's paddock after it had been lost in 1864 by the Alpine, Queen of England, Dicky Sam, and the Star of the West (Reference: Robertson 1927,p6)

LITTLE HORN CO - Heritage Inventory Description
The quartz wash and mullock heap are the only features that remain at this site which is ringed with pines. These features are both relatively intact although thay have settled and spread out or been pushed about. The mullock is 40m by 20m and up to 4m high. The quartz wash heap is 45m long and 15m wide at the south end fanning out and separating into three fingers at the northern end where it is 35m wide. This heap is up to 2m high. It is covered in grass and any finer detail could not be interpreted.
