Heritage Inventory History of Site:
RED HILL CO., on Warrens Lead, south of and adjoining the Caledonia Co.
06.1859: applied for a lease of 11 acres; commenced working.
07.1859: bottomed one shaft on the west reef of the trunk lead; a second one is down 60 feet.
08.1859: abandoned their lease application in preference to using the new Bye-law; still sinking their new shaft.
01.1860: have finally reached the deep ground.
12.1860: achieving moderate returns during the month.
01.1861: making slightly better than wages.
03.1861: only making a dividend of about 3 pounds per week. recorded production of 6 ozs or 0,187 kg.
05.1861: getting little.
06.1861: improving; averaging 12 ozs per machine.
07.1861: very poor.
08.1861: very poor; may have struck a new lead but not yet confirmed.

Site 122.05 has a mullock heap 40m high by 15m by 3m high infested with gorse. It is a very disturbed site.
