Essendon Boer War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Essendon Boer War Memorial, located in Queens Park, was originally erected in 1902, to commemorate the service of local soldiers and the accession of King Edward VIII. The monument was then embellished and re-erected on August 30th 1936. It now resembles a simple granite block mounted on a three-tiered base, listing the names of 68 fallen and returned soldiers.
