      FIRST POLICE STATION IN 1878. RESIDENCE BUILT IN 1889, REPLACING EARLIER BUILDINGS. STABLES ALSO ADDED IN 1889. PERMANENT RESERVATION FOR POLICE PURPOSES WAS GAZETTED IN APRIL 1890.
