20th century house rubble may or may not post-date an earlier dwelling. There is no documentary evidence of an earlier dwelling, nor was any archaeological evidence visible.
37 MELVINS ROAD, RIDDELLS CREEK - Archaeological Significance
Due to the construction of the 20th century house, it is unlikely that significant archaeological deposits fromany earlier period survive. The house site has been demolished and rubble pushed into a moundt. The well remains intact. The blue stone fence remnant is in very poor condition.
