C Listed - Local Significance
The fence and trees at 16-22 Carr Street are aesthetically significant at a LOCAL level. They demonstrate important design and visual qualities within the streetscape of Carr Street.
The site at 16-22 Carr Street is historically significant at a LOCAL level. It is associated with the Flinders Estate subdivision of 1887 and the Barwon Heads Estate subdivision of c.1910.
Overall, the fence and trees at 16-22 Carr Street are of LOCAL significance.

Stone Fence & Trees - Physical Description 1
The site at 16-22 Carr Street has visual connections with the Barwon River and the Ocean Grove reserve to the east, together with the Ozone Road jetty and Barwon Heads Bridge to the south. This site also has visual connections with single storey houses of mixed styles and periods. This large site comprises four allotments and therefore has large front and side setbacks. The front is bound by a stone fence comprised of irregular stones, with a gateway having two piers and a steel gate with the name The Haven as part of its construction.
At least three substantial cypress trees are situated on the site, which form significant urban focii in the streetscape.
