Memorial Window Description & History
Stained Glass Window at Camberwell Congregational [now St. Christopher's Catholic] Church - Memorial Window Description & History
The Congregational Church in Camberwell was established in 1888. In April 1948, Mr. Aird ordered two ornamental windows on behalf of the church: the tops of the windows were to have the A.I.F. and Air Force badges and the bases were to contain Biblical references - the crown and palm in one and torch in the other. The church was taken over by a German-speaking Catholic congregation some time after the Congregationalists, Presbyterians and Methodists united to become the Uniting Church of Australia in 1977.
