Stained Glass Window at Ascot Vale Presbyterian [now Uniting] Church - Memorial Window Description & History
The Argus reported the unveilng of the memorial windows and an Honour Roll by Major-General. Alan H. Ramsayduring a service conducted by Rev. WR Matters on Sunday 6 November 1946. The preacher was the Rev. Gordon Powell and the service was attended by parliamentary representatives with the Mayor and Councillors of Essendon. The 1897 building, including the organ, stained glass and church records were destroyed in an arson attack in 2004. Only the towers remain as a reminder of the former glory of the old building.
