Statement of Significance
The Essendon Croquet Club clubhouse and grounds in Brewster Street, Essendon were opened in 1913. They are important in the history of Essendon since the formation of the Club in 1912 as a venue for organised recreation (Criterion G) whilst the clubhouse is of interest as an example of the work of the local architect, Daniel R. Dossetor.

ESSENDON CROQUET CLUB - Physical Description 1
A timber clubhouse and associated rooms, the original club room, now the locker room, being timber lined with a coved ceiling and the function room and kitchen being of the inter war period. The function room has a varnished wainscot with fibrous plaster ceiling and decorative Arts and Crafts ceiling vents. The present sun room and verandah are recent. The locker room is gable roofed and centrally located in relation to the other parts, the kitchen taking on the same form but the function room having a more shallow pitch in the manner of the inter war years and being set at right angles to the remainder of the building.
