RAILWAY BRIDGE (ALBION VIADUCT) OVER MARIBYRNONG RIVER - Physical Description 1
Known locally as the 'Quartermile' bridge on account of its length, the span is actually slightly less than quarter of a mile long, measuring 1,257 feet (383.13 metres) between abutments. Elevated 180 feet (54.86 metres) above water level, the bridge comprises two steel girders supported on twelve K-braced steel-framed towers.
