CANARY ISLAND PALMS (PHOENIX CANARIENSIS) - Physical Description 1
A row of mature Canary Island Palms (Phoenix Canariensis) in Roughead Street, Leongatha facing the intersection of Anderson street. the palms are part of the planting of small park that once contained a band rotunda constructed by James T Knox (now demolished). Other plantings include privet hedges along the perimeter. The park is at the western edge of the Leongatha Railway Station reserve.
