JAMES DRYSDALE HOMESTEAD - History
A homestead was consructed on the site during the early 1850s. In 1891 the Yea to Mansfield railway line was constructed through the property to the west. JAMES DRYSDALE HOMESTEAD - Heritage Inventory Description
Site located on riste betwseen Yea River and Melba Highway. Yea-Mansfield Railway runs along the western boundary of the site. Pastoral property.
Two former house sites including brick artefact scatter, cement slab, fencing, brick well, artefact scatter located in drainage channel, remnant plantings.
Archeological Potential: High level of potential to provide evidence relating to the sites occupation from the 1850s.
