Statement of Significance
The site was developed with the Northcote Plaza being built over it, and is likely to be partly disturbed, but without looking in to it more closely it is difficult to say how extensive the disturbance was. There may be some potential for archaeological remains of this highly significant site.

BRICKWORKS, SEPARATION STREET - History
The Northcote Patent Brick Company was established by the Groom brothers in the corner of Separation and High Streets in 1873. It became the Northcote Brick Company in 1882 when it was floated as a public company.Heritage Inventory Description
BRICKWORKS, SEPARATION STREET - Heritage Inventory Description
The buildings for the brickworks were clustered along its western boundary with a large quarry throughout the remainder of the area. There was a hotel on the corner of Separation and High St and other buildings along High Street that now fall under this registration.
Note: The coordinates are from the centre of the current soccer field which is an arbitrary point (LK).
