Statement of Significance

A house by the local architect Michael Ryan of 1899, conservative for that date in its Italianate detailing and decorative cast iron, but with interesting features such as the names of the family and of the builder inscribed in the vermiculation of the quoins, and internally (despite some redecoration) pedimented doorcases and other fine joinery, timbered ceilings with iron centre flowers and a variety of flashed and etched glazing.
