Statement of Significance
The extant remains consist of some sections of the beam wall of the engine house and foundations for a winding engine.
The beam wall is the last surviving fragment of about 18 beam engine installations on the Ballarat Central goldfields and the site contains the last identifiable traces of one of the largest, longest-lasting and most productive and progressive mining companies on Ballarat.
