Statement of Significance
Craigburn is a bluestone colonial Georgian house dating from the early 1850s. It was built for early settler Duncan McNicol who arrived in Victoria in 1839 and was initially employed by pastoralist and fellow Scot Niel Black at Glenormiston. The house is substantially intact and is of local importance as one of the oldest residences in the district with associations.
