Statement of Significance
A substantial brick chapel, comprising a tall clerestoried nave with passage aisles, chancel and organ chamber, begun in 1915 to the design of Phillip Hudson & Gerard Wight, but completed between 1917 and 1928 to a modified design of Alexander North and Louis Williams. Externally, the building is dominated by the elongated west front, with coarsely traceried window and flanking square turrets, and tall clerestory with elaborately traceried windows. The spacious interior incorporates excellent fittings, including stained glass by Napier and Christian Waller, a carved timber rood screen, and a 1909 Hill Organ from Dalvue, Noorat.
