Statement of Significance
Location or context
Outstanding size
This historic property was formerly owned and developed by Dr John Cam Wight, a personal friend of Ferdinand von Mueller. William Guilfoyle and Charles Bogue Luffman were reputed to have provided input into the design of the garden and its plantings but this is unproven. This Plane tree is one of two on the site and exhibits a well structured open canopy with five main limbs. Other interesting plantings remaining from the original garden, now much reduced in size, include a large evergreen Oak, Jacaranda and Cockspur Coral Tree.
