BLUME'S BAKERY - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: This was the site of an apple drying factory, built in 1908, but destroyed by fire. it was rebuilt in brick in 1910. In 1921 the site was purchased by Ernest Blume, who used the old factory as a bakery and constructed a large brick house. The bakery was operating until 1960.Heritage Inventory Description
BLUME'S BAKERY - Heritage Inventory Description
The site consists of a large brick house, with various outbuildings. A brick factory/bakery stands to the side and the rear of the house. There is a large shed, once a stable, constructed using flattened kerosene tins.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Moderate archaeological potential. Moderate historical significance.
