This Avenue of Honour occurs between Mt Macedon Road and Bent Street along a east - west plane. There are some 156 trees in the avenue and it appears all but 2 of these are Quercus palustris ( Pin Oak) with the other two examples possibly being Quercus canariensis (Algerian Oak) and another possibly Quercus dentate (Daimyo oak) There are 78 trees on each side of the road with the northern row bisected by Waterfalls Road and Brookes Crescent. The avenue is dedicated to the local citizens of the area that fought in the First World War 1914 - 1918.
It is uncommon to use this species for an avenue of honour planting as normally Elms or Plane trees were selected.
