CAVE COOL STORE, GLEN HALCYON, 145 NINKS ROAD, ST. ANDREWS NORTH - Physical Description 1
This cave is apparently a fully man-made structure, excavated into the side of a steeply rising ridge. 'The exact depth of this cave could not be determined, due to some danger of collapse. It appears to be circa 10 - 12 metres deep, circa 5 metres wide and to have a maximum height of up to 4 metres. Originally there were doors. The owner understands that a compressor refrigerator was used at night. The cave is and was reached via a bridge over the stream separating the ridge from the flat land that was farmed.
