Statement of Significance
The Doctor's Hill Monument, Glenvale Road, Deep Lead, is situated in a rural setting. The Monument has significance as a commemoration to the establishment and erection in 1859 of the first Pleasant Creek Hospital, which served the needs of the gold miners and the rural community of western Victoria. The Monument was erected for the Stawell Rotary Club in 1972 by Morris M. Robson.
