Statement of Significance
This was the site of a 1930s unemployment relief camp for boys, who were engaged in forestry activities. Features include as asphalted area 14 metres by 8 metres, stone chimney remains, wooden stumps, concrete blocks, a mound, and an artefact scatter 100 metres south of the camp. Its significance lies in the association with Depression era youth welfare and forestry activity. It is of importance for its potential to provide information that contributes to a greater understanding of the history of the place and has a strong presumption of archaeological research potential.
