Terang Drill Hall - Veterans Description for Public
The site of the former Terang Drill Hall, on the corner of Baynes and Shadforth Streets, was compulsorily acquired on 10th August 1939. The drill hall is unique in that it is built of iron, drill halls built in this period were generally constructed in red brick. All the designs were by the Commonwealth architect George Hallendal. The hall was disposed of in 1961 and the site is now used by the State Emergency Services.
