ALLOTMENT 16E OPERATED AS MARKET GARDENS RUN BY LOUEY AH ON AND YEN YOT BETWEEN 1916 AND EARLY 1950S. ASSOCIATED SHEDS WERE THOUGHT TO BE LOCATED IN ALLOTMENT 16F. FARDENS SUPPLIED HIGH QUALITY PRODUCE BOTH LOCALLY AND TO SURROUNDING DISTRICTS BY HORSE-DRAWN CART AND THEN TRUCK.CHINAMAN'S GARDENS - Interpretation of Site
ARTEFACT SCATTER IS THOUGHT TO BE MOSTLY RELATED TO CHINESE MARKET GARDENING ACTIVITIES BUT COULD POSSIBLY ALSO REPRESENT SOME PIONEER SETTLEMENT OF BOORT AND ALOS SOME ARTEFACTS COULD POST-DATE MARKET GARDENS. EARTHWORKS - PROBABLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE MARKET GARDENS BUT MAY ALSO POSTDATE THEM.
