Snake Valley War Memorial Shrine - Veterans Description for Public
The Snake Valley War Memorial is located on the Linton Carngham Road and commemorates the First World War. It was built by Ballarat sculptor F.W. Cummons around the same time as the Avenue of Honour c. 1918. The memorial is situated on a three-stepped foundation and takes the form of a shrine, with female figure of peace enclosed in a niche. Two marble tablets flank the niche and are inscribed with the names of local soldiers.
