LAND PURCHASED BY IRISHM MIGRANT MICHAEL LYNCH IN 1853 SOLD TO IRISH MIGRANT MICHAEL CREED IN 1856 WHO NOT LONG AFTER BUILT THE HOMESTEAD. THE CREED FAMILY LIVED THERE UNTIL 1875.CREEDS FARM - Interpretation of Site
THE SITE CONTRIBUTES VALUABLE INFORMATION TO THE LOCAL HISTORY OF EPPING AND ILLUSTRATES THE PATTERN OF SMALL-SCALE DAIRYING FROM THE MID- TO LATE-19THC. AS THE LAND HAS NOT BEEN EXTENSIVELY DISTURBED, THE SITE MAY OFFER VALUABLE OPPORTUNITIES TO INVESTIGATE AND UNDERSTAND THE WAY LOCAL OCCUPANTS CONTRIBUTED TO EPPING'S EARLY DEVELOPMENT.

Site is of high archaeological significance as an intact example of a mid 19th century dairy farm. The site has the potential to inform on early domestic and industry practices during the 19th century and may contain intact archaeological deposits.

CREEDS FARM - Heritage Inventory Description
Consists of a mid-19th century farm complex comprising of 4-room bluestone house, bluestone barn, timber and corrugated iron dairy, a timber and fibro-cement outbuilding and a roofed bluestone-lined cistern. Surrounding these buildings are drystone walls and rows of cypress, pine and peppercorn trees planted as windbreak.
BLUESTONE HOUSE, BLUESTONE BARN, TIMBER AND CORRUGATED IRON DAIRY, A TIMBER AND FIBRO-CEMENT OUTBUILDING AND A ROOFED BLUESTONE-LINED CISTERN.
