WUCHATSCH FARM - Interpretation of Site
Drystone walls are part of the original complex which surrounded allotment 3 of section 9, built in the 19th-c. The southern boundary wall was erected in the early to mid 20th-c when the northern part of the allotment was purchased by SD Wuchatsch. Most of the house and sheds also date to this period. The well has been covered by a small shed but the original well probably dates to the mid-late 20th-c. Wuchatsch (1985) states that these wells were common practice in the Epping area.
WUCHATSCH FARM - Archaeological Significance
Site has potential to contain significant historical archaeological artefacts and deposits.
