HOMESTEAD, FARM AND STANDING STABLE - History
The grantee of the land was M Skehan in 1853 for a total of 158 acres. The land was quickly sold to W Jarrett (1853) beofre passing to the Butler family who held the title from 1861-1896. Subsequent owners - E McLaughlin purchased 1896, MS Mack (nee Houston) 1913; HJ Hehr purchased 1942 then SM & CR Brykman purchased land in 1978. The age of the farm house unknown. The ruins are likely to be a homestead or site of a farm. The paved areas, cement platform and drain may be remnants of a dairy, piggery or early stable. The dairy industry was prevalent in the Epping area in the historical period.

HOMESTEAD, FARM AND STANDING STABLE - Heritage Inventory Description
The site consists of an old homestead and farm site in ruins with foundations visible or standing red brick stable and rows of farm trees.
1) Standing red brick stable, a bluestone cobblestone driveway; 2) Foundations and ruins of house/homestead building; 3) An area of bluestone paving, brick paving, cement slab and spoon drain in the west of house site; 4) Row of cypress and peppercorns close to the house.
