HERRNHUT UTOPIAN COMMUNE - History
Founded in 1852 by Johann Krummnow, german commune following principles of the Moravians. Complex included church, kitched, dormitory, cemetary, dairy, orchard & vineyard. In 1897 land was subdivided & sold.

Site represents example of commune life in the early 19th century with several phases of development, it functioned as a large farm, orchard 7 vineyard.
