16 Muswell Hill - Physical Description 1
Bungalow in form but with Spanish/Mediterranean overtones, the house is an unusual and early example of a style (Spanish) which was heralded as new when the same architect designed the Dr. Thomas house at 9 Rochester Road (1924-6)[4]. The Cordova pattern roof tiles, the parged stucco, Mission detailing on the chimney, and the window hoods are among the unusual elements on the house. The Far Eastern style pergola gateway is notable and the adjoining rubble fence may be original. The landscape is of the period.
