Frankston Signal Box is an E2 Victorian Railways signal box. It was commissioned on Tuesday, 29th August 1922. It is now the largest operating box of it's kind in Australia and still retains it's lever frame and operates all points and signals mechanically. It has 50 levers and every one of them is used at some point over a 24 hour period. It is a 3 story timber building with a hip end roof with overhanging eaves, A balcony runs along the top floor for hand or flag signalling of trains.
