Memorial Window Description & History
Stained Glass Window at Bairnsdale Methodist [removed to new Uniting Church, Lucknow] Church - Memorial Window Description & History
The Rev. GP Lassam ordered the window from the stained glass department of Brooks, Robinson & Co. in January 1946. The cartoon of the armoured soldier with an angel was taken from earlier windows of the same subject at Myrtleford and Euroa and adapted to fit the opening - 83 x 21 1/2 inches. The building was no longer required after the Union of Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational Churches and was demolished in the 1980s. It is believed that the window was removed to the Uniting Church at Lucknow in Gipppsland.
