    In October 1926, the Argus reported the dedication of the new Holy Trinity Church of England at Ultima, near Swan Hill, by Bishop James, his first official act in his diocese. Unlike the majority of buildings in the town that were built in timber, Holy Trinity was largely made from concrete and brick.

    At the same service the Bishop unveiled and dedicated a commemorative window installed as a tribute to Lieutenant George (Robin) Cuttle. The design incorporated a small representation of the Military Cross above the incription and badges of the Royal Field Artillery and Royal Flying Corps in the base panels of the outer lights. In 1935 his brother, Dr. Cuttle of Junee, gave 90 acres of land for the Robinvale Racecourse and Park to be a memorial to his brother. After the Ultima church was deconsecrated, the window was retrieved and placed in the vestibule of St. Peter's Anglican Church, Robinvale.

    George Cuttle, known to all as Robin, was son of Mr. and Mrs. HE Cuttle of Ultima who received his education at Caulfield Grammar School. In November 1915 he and his cousin were farewelled by family and friends at a large function in the Ultima Public Hall shortly before he sailed 'to join the aviation school' of the Royal Flying Corps in England. For some time he was transferred to 50 Battery Royal Field Artillery and, as forward observation officer in the battle for the Butte de Warlencourt, he was awarded the Military Cross for conspicuous gallantry. From August 1917 Cuttle flew with C Flight 49 Squadron of the Royal Flying Corps. On 8 May 1918, during aerial combat on his return from a bombing raid on Peronne, Lieutenant Cuttle was last seen in a descent as he fought against four enemy planes. He is commemorated on the Arras Flying Services Memorial.
