Residence - Physical Description 1
The site at 47 Bridge Road has visual connections with other single and double storey houses of mixed styles and periods that all have pitched roofs. This house has typical front and side setbacks. These setbacks are partly shown on the 1978 BHSA Plan of Drainage. The front is bound by an inappropriate, capped open timber paling fence, approximately 1800mm high. The asymmetrical, single storey, horizontal weatherboard interwar Bungalow house is characterised by a dominant zincalume hipped roof form with a minor verandah gable that projects towards the street frontage. An early unpainted brick chimney adorns the roofline. Wide overhangs are a feature of the eaves. The timber framed windows may be early. A feature of the design is the front verandah. It is supported by square timber columns.
