STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
The Barwon Heads Park at No 1 Ewing Blyth Drive is aesthetically significant at a REGIONAL level. The treed reserve, including the oval and tennis courts, together with the views to and from the Park, are a significant visual amenity to the township of Barwon Heads.
The Barwon Heads Part at 1 Ewing Blyth Drive is historically and socially significant at a REGIONAL level. It is associated with the formation of the Barwon Heads Park Trust and the subsequent developments and improvements that occurred between 1889 and 1954. the Barwon Heads Park is recognized and highly valued by the community for its association as a holiday resort for campers and as a public park for recreational pursuits
Overall, the Barwon Heads Pasr at 1 Ewing Blyth Drice is of REGIONAL significance.

Barwon Heads Park - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
The Barwon Heads Park is bounded by Bridge road, Ewing Blyth Drive, the Bluff and the foreshore to the east. It is predominantly level ground with some undulating and rising land to the south towards the Bluff. It is also a well-treed site, with mainly tea and gum trees, together with a surviving Norfolk pine and Cypress tree. There is one major bitumen road that penetrates through the center of the site, with small, gravel subsidiary roads leading to the numerous caravan and camping sites. The site also contains the Barwon Coast Committee of Management Inc. offices, former Lobster Pot Dance Hall, jetties and former Fishermen's co-operative Boat Sheds, Boot Room, W.C.J. Phillips memorial Wishing Well, Earl of Charelmont Anchor, SS Orungal Secondary Anchor, single storey and brick Barwon Heads Football Club rooms, numerous single storey, flat roofed brick and concrete toilet and shower blocks, together with some on-site cabins.
A feature of the park is the football oval to the south-west, together with the neighborhood tennis courts immediately north.
There are significant views of the coastline, north of the Barwon River, and the Barwon Heads bridge from eastern fringes.
