STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
Although the history of 'Lake View' at Leopold is largely undocumented in family papers and public archives held in the Geelong region, the single storey house id undoubtedly of early age and dates from 1850s, the time of great development on the Bellarine Peninsula.
The architecture is distinctly Australian Regency in detail with later additions concealing some of the original red brick details.
This building is one of an early group in the Geelong region.
