STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
Kalimnar is believed to incorporate the original four-room home of the McWilliams family who were one of early district pioneering families. It was built c1880. Kalimnar has historic and social value to the Leopold district and Bellarine peninsula communities because it is one of few remaining early pioneering homes. It is of LOCAL cultural significance.

"Kalimnar" Residence - Physical Description 1
This Victorian residence is sited next to the Leopold cemetery. The building has an unusually long hipped roof, clad in corrugated iron, and an east elevation verandah with timber posts, a separate corrugated iron clad roof, decorative iron lacework and a concrete floor. There are two red brick chimneys in different styles, and a new garage projection to the east.
