Fire Station - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
It is a rectangular building with a gabled roof. The walls are constructed of red brick and the roof is clad in terra cotta tiles. The side walls are divided into bays by brick piers and a small slightly arched window is between each pier. A plinth is formed by the slight projection of the brickwork. The north elevation has square corner piers built of brick which rise to the substantial parapet above the large doorway. The piers and parapet have a cement render corbel and dentils which give the dominant parapet a refined appearance.
