Statement of Significance
St. David's Anglican Church is located on the Coleraine Road, some 500 metres south of the centre of the township of Nareen. The church is in a reduced gothic revival style, and appears to date from the late nineteenth century. It is constructed of timber, with a painted corrugated iron roof. The Church is set on a slight rise above the township, and the approach is via a straight gravel drive lined on either side with Monterey cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa). The date of construction, architect and builder are not known. An early twentieth century timber hall stands adjacent to the church. Both buildings are in excellent condition and retain a very high degree of integrity, as does the driveway.

ST DAVID'S ANGLICAN CHURCH AND HALL - Physical Description 1
St. David's Anglican Church is located on a rise, a short distance to the south of the township of Nareen. The Church is approached by a straight gravel drive with a distinctive row of Monterey Cypress (Cupressus macrocarpa). The Church is a modest timber building in a reduced Gothic revival style. The walls are weatherboard painted white. The gable roof is corrugated iron painted red and there are proprietary ventilators on alternate sides along the ridgeline. There is a small porch with doors on either side at the front and a transept or vestry with its own entrance on the south side towards at rear. The simple triangular topped doors and windows evoke the Gothic style. The doors are ledge and brace with wrought iron hinges painted black. The windows are in a group of three in the porch and as single and double windows in the side walls.
The adjacent church hall is also white weatherboard with a corrugated iron roof and similar ventilators. The windows are large double hung sashes with hopper fanlights. Behind the hall there is a separate brick amenities block.ST DAVID'S ANGLICAN CHURCH AND HALL - Historical Australian Themes
