Statement of Significance
Rosebank is a three roomed vernacular timber slab hut with a corrugated iron roof. It is believed to date from circa 1860. Rosebank is located in Neate's Road in the Victoria Valley, and is said to have been built by the McArthur family, who were early selectors in Mirranatwa and Victoria Valley. The hut is in fair condition and retains a good degree of integrity.

Why is it significant?
Rosebank is of historical significance for its associations with the early McArthur family, who were selectors in the Victoria Valley and Mirranatwa areas from the 1860s. The hut is of architectural significance for the use of primitive building techniques of slab timber construction, representing the resourcefulness of the early selectors in the area, who used the abundant natural timbers to construct their early dwellings.

Rosebank is a three roomed timber selector's hut dating from the 1860s. It has been built in a vernacular style, of timber slabs which resemble the earliest and most primitive era of construction, using machine sawn timbers. The roof is of corrugated iron. The hut is surrounded by outbuildings, and is set in the remnants of a garden and orchard.
