    Vida Street/Knight Street, Aberfeldie - Physical Description 1

    A stuccoed Italianate, hipped-roof mansion of two storeys with a two-level return cast-iroh verandah which is terminated by two protruding bays, at the east and north: a parapetted tower rises over the latter. Ornament is restrained with duplex eaves-brackets, interspersed with rosettes; balustrading in the parapet and balconettes; and string and impost mouldings which circumnavigate the house.

    The garden contains mature plant species (presumably from the 19th century) whilst the general evergreen bedding and scoria paving is sympathetic to the period.

    A bay has been added to the south to replicate the existing details; a further inspection is required to ascertain its effect on the integrity of the original house.
