Statement of Significance
Architecturally, a simply but successfully articulated example of the typical suburban Bungalow style, with its distinctive dark-stained boarding, which is here displayed with a corner 'twin' (126) together comprising a miniature estate.

House at 124 Albert Street - Physical Description 1
Classically Bungalow in style, this house' still has original stained bullnose-edge weatherboards often painted over elsewhere. Marseilles pattern tiles and the broad, trussed-gable roof form are essential elements for the style, as is the pergola porch and leadlight bayed window, set in the front projecting room. Timber details elegantly show an Eastern inspiration. One idiosyncrasy is the Victorian period entry door case which has Art-Nouveau lead lights, at variance to the subtle glazing of the windows.
