HOTHAM HEIGHTS CHALET SITE - History
The first Hotham Height's Chalet built on site (1925 by Italian stonemasons). This site burnt down in January 1939 during a bushfire. The chalet was built in June 1939, which burnt down in 1976 on Saturday September 29th, from an internal fire.

HOTHAM HEIGHTS CHALET SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
This site is the location of the first Hotham Heights Chalet which burnt down in January 1939. The new Hotham Heights chalet was built on approximately the same site in June 1939. This chalet burnt down in 1976. The remains of a radio mast is also on this site.
radio mast base (mast lying on ground). Base is made of metal and ceramic. The mast measures 19.45m in length and .47m in diameter at 5m from base.
