JALLUMBA-MOCKINYA ROAD COMPLEX - History
Farm taken up by J. Cozens after the 1869 Grant Land Act which allowed farmers to lease 320 acres, then, after improvements purchased the land. The wide variety of fencing (at least six styles noted) suggests resourcesfulness and adaptaion to the environment. Thatched sheds were a common form of farm structure in the region. It is not known whether the original farm failed, however the property is within a functioning farm.JALLUMBA-MOCKINYA ROAD COMPLEX - Interpretation of Site
