Statement of Significance
Unlike the very common Monterey Pine tree (Pinus radiata), this species is not common in the Shire and the tree identified is of particular significance because of its excellent form, good condition, large size and its age. It is part of a group planting of trees associated with the Hurst Family Cemetery which dates from 1866 and has considerable cultural significance.
