Statement of Significance
The house itself is a fine representative example of the Californian Bungalow style, applied in the rural, rather than the urban context, and demonstrates many of the design features of this style of building. These include sloping massed roofs, a broad gable over the verandah supported by rubble pillars with rendered columns on top. Exposed rafters on the gable eave and timber brackets at the base of the gable add detail to the dominant roof feature framing the main entrance. (Criterion D and E).

Glenlea - Physical Description 1
Glenlea, located at 32- 42 Baker Road, Harkaway is a large intact bungalow with bluestone foundations, walls and chimneys, in the tradition of the Californian Bungalow. There is a broad gable over the verandah supported by rubble pillars with rendered columns on top.
Exposed rafters on the gable eave and timber brackets at the base of the gable add detail to the dominant roof feature which frames the main entrance.
Rolling lawns set with a range of mature coniferous and deciduous trees surround the house, and provide a picturesque setting for this farm complex. The remnants of an avenue planting of Monterey Cypress line the driveway (those to the south are mature, those on the north have been replanted) from Baker Road, and a Hawthorn hedge stretches across the Baker Street property boundary.
There are two outbuildings with corrugated iron roofs located to the east of the homestead.Heritage Study and Grading
